The paper that covers the binding is split on VI but doesn't affect the binding which is still firm (see pictures 3 and 4). The front cover of volumes VI and XXVII has a water mark (see pictures 2 and 6). The spine of volume XVIII has minor marks (see picture 5). About 30 internal pages of volume XXVIII have water marks (see picture 7) and the paper that covers the binding is split but doesn't affect the binding which is still firm (see picture 8). All other volumes are in perfect condition. Illustrated, with a frontispiece to each volume and several further plates. All plates are present and represent some very fine work.
