A single piece is used to assure that each instrument will speak with a resonance that cannot be achieved by a neck through design. The Californian's bolt on neck is carved from rock maple, and its exquisite ebony fingerboard with unique boomerang inlays on wide oval frets, with twenty seven frets on a 25.5" scale.
