$50 · High school to graduate school tutoring in writing and research skills

I have a doctorate in English literature and have taught post-secondary composition and research skills at various colleges and universities for 20 years. I currently have 8 one-hour weekly slots available for tutoring (on-line or in my home office), and additional time for email-based document review, targeted to graduate students working on journal articles, theses, and dissertations. Please note: 1. For tutoring, my hourly fee is for contact hours and does not include my prep time or time spent on emails. Within reason, there is no separate charge for this time. 2. If you have a friend, you may split an hour for no extra charge, or you may be tutored together for an additional $10 (this covers my increased preparation and review). 3. I have taught college for years and have no interest in helping any student commit any form of academic misconduct. I will check that you are on the right track and will make you work hard, but I will not do your work for you. 4. For journal article, thesis, and dissertation review, you must let me know what you want me to focus on so that you use my time most efficiently: I can check style and usage and trace citations in all fields, verify document and citation formatting in most fields, and advise on more complex matters in English and Canadian literature & related specialties. I have previously edited dissertations, conference papers, and journal articles in English, History, Political Science, Art History, Economics, and Pharmacy.
