A vintage FLAME PROOF Coffee Pot / Carafe from Corning Glass made for Silex. Retro design from the Atomic Era. 18 Karat Gold-toned Starbursts adorn the glass sides. Lid and handle are an ivory colour. Base Marked: Corning - Brand - Heat Proof Glass - Made In U.S.A. For The Silex Co. - 34-208 Handle Marked: Silex / (Lid unmarked) Size: 9-inches height to top of lid finial, 3-1/4-inches across rim, 4-inches across the rounded base. Condition: used, shows light use wear, no chips, or cracks, gold neck band is very nice, graphics are 18 Karat gold plated and are in good condition showing only slight wear. Includes the correct snap on lid; neck band is also decorated with a sunburst in three areas.
